Thousands of Malaysian throng the causeways(Tambak Johor) everyday to work in Singapore. Very little are reported of their bitter sweet struggle to earn the Sing Dollar. This blog hopes to share my encounters with many fellow kaki tambak. Hopefully there will be more social recognition for these unsung heroes who breathes life to both cities on either side of the causeway.

i got shcok to see someone has concern and kindness to put up this blog. i was one of the makan asap in morning and evening queue on bike.
i also seens many types of fighting at the causeway when motorcyclist "kiss" each other
Yes, its sad that some tambak riders gets into bloody fight with each other.
The reason these people fight are not about cutting que or minor kiss of the motorcycles.
These people like us are frustrated because they have to makan asap and face all sort of physical abuse everyday. And worst of all no matter how many years past, many of us still feel trap emotionally everytime we are stuck at the checkpoints.
So we let loose our anger on each other.
I don't know whether i will see the day when thousands of us kaki tambaks/tambak riders unite and demand that both countries treats us more humanely.
